Barcelona is the capital and most populous city of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain. Barcelona is today an important cultural center and a major tourist destination and has a rich cultural heritage. Particularly renowned are architectural works of Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner that have been designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. As the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona houses the seat of the Catalan government. Along with earning a full quarter of transferable college credits, students live with Spanish families and immerse themselves in day to day Spanish Life. Frequent field trips and travel opportunities enable students to experience the culture and history of Spain. The teaching team tailors courses to the European environment and structures the coursework around several themes common to the locale.

Fall 2017 | Tokyo

Japan offers a rich environment of arts, culture and history where centuries-old traditions exist in contrast with ultra-modern lifestyles. Experience Sumo wrestling, Kabuki Theater, ancient castles and temples dating back to the days of the Samurai warriors. How about some trendy Tokyo street fashions in the Harajuku district, the latest in high technology, electronics and gadgetry, anime, and a city that never sleeps. Tokyo has many faces and each neighborhood is unique and has its own distinct character.

Winter 2018 | Australia and New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand

In Australia, students will spend their time in Melbourne, at Newman College, just a few minutes away from the city center. Students can explore the city as well as be able to experience the Aboriginal cultural sites and native animals of Australia.

In New Zealand, students will stay in Auckland and have many opportunities to explore the area and stay in a one of New Zealand’s top educational institutes.

Berlin, with its cultural and cosmopolitan kaleidoscope, provides a vibrant background for any study abroad program. Few European cities have undergone such continual redefinition and change. Berlin’s restored identity as the nation’s capital has been the driving force in both design and cultural diversity.The political and cultural developments of the 19th and 20th centuries are visible throughout Berlin’s cityscape, reflecting both the history of architecture and various approaches to dealing with the consequences of war and destruction. Home to the designated UNESCO World Heritage site of Museum Island, of the world-famous Brandenburg Gate and the superb architecture of the impressive Reichstag building, Berlin has a magical appeal for all visitors. With approximately 3.5 million inhabitants, Berlin is the largest city in Germany and is constantly reinventing itself.
